In this project we are converting a "Generic 50cc Chineese-made" Scooter into an electric vehicle.  This 48 volt project will reuse the CVT and employ a 6hp Briggs and Stratton "eTek" electric motor. 

The JMU BioTrike is a biodiesel powered motorcycle/tricycle. 

We propose to take the proven ideas behind the Society for Automotive Engineering competitions and Lego leagues and develop a competition that addresses commuter transportation, a sustainability issue of local and national importance, to be designed and run by university students.

This project is based on harvesting otherwise wasted energy from the movement of the suspension of an automobile.

This project is based on converting sunlight to mechanical energy in the most efficient method possible.  Using solar panels and a battery bank, which are already owned by JMU, a solar charging system will be built to charge past present, and future electric vehicle projects.
